    Andy_UA,
Would it be possible to briefly summarize this article for non Russian speakers? Running it through an online translator is a miserable experience.

    Best Regards

Nothing really interesting, just that the new rfle will be selected on the basis of a contest, and author speculates that Izhmash will submit its much touted but little seen 200 series AK.

I guess it means that if the start point or\and target would be higher-there will be some problems.

My impression is AK-200 series is already in use with Special Forces of FSB and others , from what has been seen with photos etc the AK-200 series is just a better AK-74 with Picatini rails , balanced recoil mechanism and few other improvements , Just taking the best out of AK-74 and AK-100 series , correct me if i am wrong here.

I see no problem in the timeline. The production rate is/will be at least 12 a year.
    2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 = 4x 12= 48.

They won't be cut literaly but by 2020 older Mig 29 built in the 1980's will be placed in military reserve, there are already nearly 300+ Mig 29 in Russian military reserve storage and currently 220 active Mig 29 and these Mig 29 that will be put in reserve will be replaced by newly manufactured Mig 29SMT and Mig 35 by 2020 based on the 1 article
Russian War Reserve also has in storage about 100+ Su 27,100 Mig 31,100+ Tu 22M,70+ Su 25,hundreds of Mig 25 and Mig 23/27 and 300+ Mi 24

I don't know how many are being built right now, they take some time to get finished so I would assume that there are some under construction right now.

PS The name is Su-35S, not BM.

I hope they don't think tacticooling up a 74 will make it through the selection process. So its the inside that's most interesting.

Friday's Bulava launch was actually a warm-up for the upcoming salvo launch.
