    Why? He's right, the ISI is known for financing/aiding insurgent/terrorist groups.

    Be interesting to see what happens next. Are we going to see claims he's alive?

    If you don't like the responses to your posts, and it's obvious to everyone that you're banter is troll bait, just stop posting in this thread.

    Many Jihadi's who were in the game prior to 9/11 (& many Political Islamists) blame UBL - while they recognized his contributions to the Soviet-Afghan war - as well as his efforts to support Jihadi's in the Balkans, Caucusus, & elsewhere - but (being pragmatic) viewed his actions as counter to the strategic goals & the introduction of the US GWOT as the end of decades of work.

    Yea, like they were going to restrain themselves and not shoot this piece of garbage down like a dog... I would have take heat on the hit for that one, oops slipped blew his head off, damn the bad, luck sorry. O yea this parasite brought to US for trial in NYC or Gitmo. O geez, even the thought makes me want to puke. They were also told not to shoot my the National command authority during the pirate incident as well.

    I was hoping at least a "green team" not a "blue team" was in the AOR and conducted this. The shooters will have monuments built to them, epic God like status in the Warrior community.

    Story on the shooters;
    http://swampland.time.com/2011/05/02...aden-unfolded/

    About two dozen SEALs and CIA enablers swooped down on the compound in a pair of choppers, leaving the second pair lurking nearby in case they were needed.
    The U.S. troops came under fire almost immediately, giving the U.S. forces all the justification they needed to amp up their firepower. Yet helicopters, as we saw in Black Hawk Down, are ungainly machines easily downed in a flurry of rocket-propelled grenades or even small-arms fire. That suggests that in addition to the choppers, heavier guns — perhaps AC-130 gunships or some other precision firepower — were on station early Monday over bin Laden’s lair and may have laid down some suppressive fire before U.S. troops went into the compound, most likely aboard specially-outfitted CH-47 and UH-60 choppers.

    “After midnight, a large number of commandos encircled the compound,” Nasir Khan of Abbottabad told *******. “Three helicopters were hovering overhead…All of a sudden there was firing toward the helicopters from the ground. There was intense firing and then I saw one of the helicopters crash,” said Khan, who watched the scene from his roof nearby.

    CIA director Leon Panetta and other top agency officials listened in from 7,000 miles away as the operation unfolded. Bin Laden was shot in the head when he fired at the SEALs.

    Just a few weeks ago, U.S. Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen told Pakistani English-language newspaper Dawn that the Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had a “relationship” with the al Qaeda affiliated Haqqani network:

    "It's fairly well known that the ISI has a longstanding relationship with the Haqqani network….Haqqani is supporting, funding, training fighters that are killing Americans and killing coalition partners. And I have a sacred obligation to do all I can to make sure that doesn't happen…..So that's at the core - it's not the only thing -- but that's at the core that I think is the most difficult part of the relationship.”
