I think the questions about who knew what, about where UBL was during the last few years in Pakistan will be dissected in detail, both in the media and in intelligence orgs. I was looking at the location of his compound on Google Earth and noticed there is a dandy Mosque, not far east of his compound...got me to thinking....I guess he could not attend Mosque, because someone would likely have turned his sorry butt in for the $27 million reward, even in Pakistan, where he had much support. I don't know. It may turn out he attended Mosque all the time for 6 years and everyone kept their pieholes shut....who knows?

Since the act was committed on American soil, one would think that a trail would be under American jurisdiction. Maybe you can ask the lawyers of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed about that. Oooops, that's right. He's no longer being tried in NYC, his trial will be held in Gitmo.

consider a hypothetical example.
I have a pet tiger that I release a couple of times each week and it goes out and kills a kid or two in the neighborhood. you guys complain to me and I say hey I don't have money to feed it, so you give me money to feed it. I take the money but I still release the tiger and it continues killing your family members. you ask me again and I change nothing. I say I will but I don't. the tiger continues to kill folk in the area and terrorize the population. your life is a living hell. repeat cycle 10-15 times.

what will you do ?
option a) nothing. let your kid be gruesomely killed in front of you. after all going into my house is 'trespassing' and that is 'illegal' (right !)

option b) get a gun, gather some people around, come into my house and shoot the tiger. legalese be damned, human life is more important.

dont need a Mosque,just a pray room with a his rug,but yes,$27 mill and no-one turned him in.....maybe they should give the reward to seal team 6

In my opinion;
the attack on 9/11 was deemed an attack to all NATO allies (for the first time EVER). Ofcourse I can understand that some would say 'let us Americans handle him' and that is what happened. But since it seems for now that this man could be captured alive and brought to trial I believe they should have done so as we claim to obey the Geneva convention.
And for the question which trial he should go to: the international criminal court in the Hague
