Pakistani Urdu TV channel Geo News quoted Pakistani intelligence officials as saying that the world's most wanted terrorist Osama Bin Laden was killed in a search operation launched by the Pakistani forces after a Pakistani army helicopter was shot down in the wee hours of Monday in Abbotabad, a mountainous town located some 60 kilometers north of Pakistan's capital city of Islamabad.

I'm sad to say that this might be a hollow victory outside the Western world. A lot of Muslims see OBL as their hero. Went to my mum this morning, told her the guy is dead. My mum went " That's too bad. He was a hero, the last defender of Islam. I bet the Americans were partying right this moment." Had to explain to her that OBL was evil and most of his victims were Muslims but she didn't care. Worst indeed that the reality is most Muslims are too stupid to connect the dots between the bombing in Afghan,Iraq other bombings in Muslim countries were his fault. This victory does not change things, I guess. It's merely a morale boost for some and a reson to enact vengeance for some others. Anyway the history will be written by the winners, so lets hope the good guys will win this.
