My facebook page is going nuts with all the yuppie, hipster, Ivy, liberal 'friends' whining and posting opinions and blog posts how it's insignificant, when will we pull out of the Middle East now, how decent people won't celebrate any death, how we wasted trillion dollars, destroyed our civil liberties, and killed hundreds of thousands of civilians just to get 1 man, who will be the new "bad guy" to pursue our imperialistic foreign policy. . . G-AWZT: You can remotely defend a man that has publicly confessed...and no liberal or conservative lawyer could have pulled that man out of jail for...at least a millenium. He had confessed a politically motivated crime, various unprovoked military attacks, various terror attacks, a good "liberal" attorney would have slashed him for CAM and War crimes. The list is just enormous. So I would have adored seeing his fvck face hopeless and infuriated. Kuffr Trial for a "Holy Man" damn that would have made my day. Sorry but "hiding" in a fortress/mansion on the outskirts of Islamabad in a predominantly military district rings of harboring to me....

Pakistan has a lot of explaining to do and even if their hands are clean it's an embarrassment.

I also don't buy them claiming they had operatives involved in the immediate operation...

Maybe the operatives involved were a few of the guys that "got the good news" of two in the head.....If I was Pakistani ISI media ops, I'd be saying OBL's poker buddies were "deep undercover operatives with boots on ground" too...instead of calling them what they might be.... dead terrorists...or complicit neighbors of a terrorist.

To me Pakistanis, and Pakistani media, seem obsessive and fixated on being taken seriously as a "player" and professional victims of India/Israel/Infidel USA.

This is nothing short of an international embarrassment...of COURSE Pakistan is going to spin or attempt to deflect this in some insane direction.

I was just about to post I wonder how the ISI is going to explain their harbouring. The area the Green Slime tells me has quite a number of Senior Retired Pakistani Military Officers. Just how was he allowed *cough, cough** to live so brazenly without tacit collaboration from both the ISI and the duplicitous (no idea who's ones father was) who make up Pakistani politics.

I agree! This definitely needs to be looked into before American gives Pakistan another billion dollar "aid" check. That money could perhaps be better spend if IDK we gave it to India?

The compound was situated on a road called the Pakistan Military Academy road. The whole area teems with military establishments. I am pretty sure that the ISI/Army had no idea that he was living in that mansion.

This leads me to the following conclusions:

1. Pakistan knew where he was.
2. Pakistan knew the US knew where he was. The US knew Pakistan knew where he was. This has been the case for some time.
3. The US acted without telling Pakistan for fear of him dissappearing, knowing it would embarras Pakistan. This means change is in the wind. Could be big change. Maybe the relationship was starting to crumble anyway after the Davis incident.

or

4. Pakistan and the US acted together and the US gave Pakistan something huge behind the scenes. Not sure what.

This to me "feels" like a wind down in Afghanistan ops is on the horizon. The US wouldn't risk doing #3 without such an event, and I can't see Pakistan giving up OBL that easily otherwise.
