    Default 3 strongest armies/nations of WW2

Does anyone know which 3 nations were the strongest during WW2? My calculated guess is Germany, United States and Soviet Union?

You just answered your own question. No need to respond further.

Do you mean army alone, or all branches of the military? When in the war? Strongest in terms of numbers or most effective? Do Empire/Dominion troops count?

I'll call your Britain and raise you a Japan. They would have to be there somewhere.

I tend to think of the big five, which in no particular order is Germany, Japan, USA, USSR, Britain (and Empire)

I say the Thule and Vril society were the most powerfull because they built Hitler up, along with American companies.
The army of darkness that Hitler was in contact with. The ascended masters, like Djwhal Khul.Hitler was under the influence of the spirit of Anti-Christ.
The Nazi's had help with tech. They were all about Blavatsky and the holocaust happened becasue Hitler fell for the demonic trap.

    http://www.world-war-2.info/casualties/

Not sure how accurate these figures are, but according to here the countries with the largest militaries were:

    USSR: 34,401,807*
    Germany: 20,000,000
    China: 17,250,521
    United States: 16,112,566
    Japan: 9,700,000
    United Kingdom: 5,896,000
    Yugoslavia: 3,741,000
    Italy: 3,100,000

*The USSR's figures aren't shown on that page so I used the number I found on wikipedia.

Yeah I don't think that 17 million accounted for much.

Would Canada's military be counted on its own or under the UK's since they were commanded by Montgomery.

yea so it seems that im right. China had the man power but not the technology. I guess this is why they are so tech-hungry today.

Strongest in terms of all sums, essentially the most effective. Britain wasnt really on par with the other 3.

    Calculated guess?

I think most people would probably throw at least 2 of the 3 up without too much thought.
