Also, since it would a corp based on a military board, having ships names or ship name's prefix could be an option. Either compiling a list of name available for the corp's ships or just coming up with a prefix to give the member more freedom regarding the naming of the ships.
For example, MPN "PM Macs" or something along those lines.

Definitely play the tutorial through, EVE can be very daunting at first so get your head round the basics.

I havent played the game for a while so can't really say, but it's all relative and depends on what you want to do. Somebody more experienced in the game than me would be best to answer that question.
Yeah, you need to get that advancing in this game takes lots of time and is as interesting as watching grass to grow. It gets interesting after like half year when you can actually do something.
Then there is mining. To be able to mine effectively you need booze and some other activity like movie. You can practice mining by pressing the start button every 30 seconds.

Well, a friend already sent me a invite. That's the one i'm installing the game with now...
Damn it, just lost my first ship.... My slasher got fvcked up on a PvE mission where i had to take on a bunch of pirates. Agent sent me to a small asteroid field with an accell gate, and three rookies. I smoke the rookies, mission is not completed, so i take the accelleration gate and end up in the middle of a pirate camp.....Traded some shots, then warped out. Warped back in, took out two pirates, but the ship got destroyed when i tried to warp out for repairs again.... Boy am I glad i got the insurance earlier.
First instance where i've been harshly confronted with the game not babying the player. Ship destroyed? Your problem, homeslice.
Maybe i could play this game too for a while... How about MP.net corp?
