How many people do get accepted from Sweden? I'm asking this because you have two times as much applications than from Finland..

I read on a forum that in Finland 2003 green card lottery statistics were:
    58 applications and 26 got the card...so that's almost 50/50.

I think I'll put in applications at least for three years..

Have faith brother..apply again.. the money that is needed for application isn't THAT much and can you think of any other equally good opportunities to spend it?..me neither..

Or you can also try the lottery...you can't win if you don't play.

I served with several people who weren't citizens, but that was ten years ago. Keep at it if it is something you really want to do. I know others have done it before you, so it can be done.
Just be prepared to take a lot of crap if you are French. It is stupid and baseless, but a lot of average Americans (especially the type who enlist in the Army, and even moreso if you take an infantry MOS) have a certain stereotype of the French soldier. Like anyone else, though, once you prove yourself that will all wash off.

I believe that would be a fair comment towards "the French soldier" serving in the French army. If our little dude here ever enlists in the US army I don't think he'd be treated by his mates as anything else than a mate. Freeman , I don't necessarily agree with your decision, but if that's what you want go for it fiston!!

Affirmatif Etre et Durer. Honestly I think the 1rpima is the best para unit in the french Army although Rannyboy would argue that it's the 2 REP.

A mate in reality wanna enlist for the "8" at Castres. What do you think about that regiment ? Anyway I don't know if the 2nd REP is the best one but I know they all are burnt heads. They got fear of nothing. All nuts

Que ce soit , castres , carka, Mt de marsan, or montauban ,tarbes or whatever all the units of the 11bp are very good regiments .In fact with the end of the draft all the units of the "armee de terre" are very professional. That's why I couldn't understand why you would undertake such a task to join a foreign army, where you could easily find in terms of quality ,similar units right next door.
