I wanted (still want to if i can) to join the Rangers and i looked into it spoke to a US Army recruiter and was told i needed a green card something impossible to get......
raem, I've sent you a pm (in Spanish). The odds are really against you, but I've got some recommendations that could better the odds a bit.
Aside from being a Refugee or seeking an asylum, the only way for someone around your age group to be qualified for a green card is to enter the lottery which is conducted by the U.S. Department of State, or to marry a US Citizen or a Green Card holder which will qualify yourself into receiving one. See more here: Source
Before entering the military, all recruits must take the ASVAB test which will determine which roles in the military you will be qualified for. The test involves questions about Math, Science, English...etc. However, I recommend you be very proficient with math, especially with Algebra and Geometry, and English, since these two are usually the two most important. Just remember that since you only have a Green Card, you will be restricted from MOS which will requires secret clearance. Once you become a US Citizen, this restriction will be removed.
Depending on whether you're married or not, if you are a single Soldier, you must live on base in a barrack accompanying by other soldiers, unless you're an NCO E-4 or higher I believe. Married soldier on the other hand must live off-base such as in a military housing and you will also be issued an allowance (BAH) to help pay for bills and other costs.
Yelling, very mature. This is not a troll topic, If you think Hitler was stopping just conquering France, you are wrong, these man was probably totally crazy, he wasn´t stoping till he conquered all Europe. Anyway, I dont want to discuss about Hitler, I JUST WANT TO JOIN THE US ARMY.
The lottery is a lottery, especially for your part of the word. You've got as much chance of winning the euro lottery and being able to get an economic visa into the US.Thanks to people that helps me, so i am not still sure about what should I study and how to get the green card. By lottery?
I'm looking for advice on joining the Marines. First of all I am a South African but I do have have an American citizenship. It's been really difficult to get information over here, speaking to the embassies and searching the internet. Is it possible for me to contact a recruiter via email?
You're not a foreigner if you have US citizenship.
Possibly be pleased with this people whom safeguard ones country. You may "hate" The country in addition to every thing inside, however it can be the house. Guaranteed, there are numerous points My partner and i aren't keen on in relation to The us, however My partner and i wouldn't stay any place else. As you develop fully a tad, you can appreciate which the points you believe you "hate" in relation to ones country are usually insignificant.
Hi, I am new here ( someone came to my internet cafe and forgot to log out, so please don't ban him if I do things wrong ) and I'm from Vietnam. The day after tomorrow, I will go to the US to study at a community college ( I'm 18 this November ). But to say the truth, I always want to serve with the US military, looking to be a lifer and to be an officer ( I want to be a general ). But I am a Vietnamese, not a US nationals so I can't join. However, recently I heard from some sources saying that if I have the skills and knowledge the military needs, they will still accept me and after 2 years of service I can enroll to officer course. So can anyone here confirm this please. And if this is a hoax, can anyone tell me how can I join the US armed forces ( or the Canadians, the New Zealand, the British, the Australian... ) Many thanks
You won't get into the Australian Defence force without being a permanent resident at a minimum, generally they only take citizens.
We don't even let Kiwis on special condition visas enlist.
The US is on a draw down, I don't image they're taking non permanent residents either. NZ, I believe you need to be a resident for 5 years (or to have lived in Australia, Canada, the UK or the US for 5 years) to pass the vetting for the lower echelon security vetting jobs.
