Sseveral hundred even if you go solely on the videos and photos posted on.this and other sites. Has has supposedly about 5000 tanks how many are actually available or have trained crews is another matter.

A Syrian rebel fighter shows the ammunition he will use for an operation in the neighborhood of Al-Amiriya in Aleppo on September 22. Rebels have moved their command base from Turkey to "liberated areas" inside Syria, they announced as regime troops and rebels battled for control of a corridor near the border. (AFP)

In regard to all videos of aircraft and helicopters - I'm surprised by the obvious lack of countermeasures in form of flares, especially now when it's known that opposition has gotten their hands on Strela SA-7's. Any comments? It's hard to imagine Syrian AF would be in such a bad condition that they don't have / can't afford them.

Most of their equipment dates back to the 1970s-1980s, when they still built their army in a perspective to equal the IDF in a conventional conflict. Since they abandonned this ambition and invested almost exclusively in a strategy of asymetric build-up: BMs, WMDs... That's why their AF and armor are so antiquitated.

all you come up with are nothing but accusations pulled from hot air. What are you trying to say?

I'm quite certain the main agenda here for the Jihadist isn't the well being for the Syrian people, but the possibilty of gaining influence and power.

The term Terrorist has a definition. Might be wise if you google it and use the accepted definition and not make up your own.

Basics, Murdering innocent people/attacking innocent people for political reasons. Blowing up a pizza parlor, murdering civilians is a terrorist act. That should give you a idea. Also spend a little more time reading the other post and not go off on a rant.

Part II, this goes for everyone, [*******#ff0000]This is not a discussion thread, but a photos and video thread. Take any discussion to the Syria Discussion thread. [/COLOR]

Without wishing to labour a point: terrorism is something that someone does not something he is. In this conflict all sides can reasonably be accused of terrorism - but it is individuals who are guilty.

meanwhile heres a picture of a FSA soldier with a big ole American gun

M1919's can be found all over the place. Probably Lebanese or just leftover from the pre-Assad days.
