    The behavior of the 2 others is even more weird. They don't fire, don't release smoke. They advance. Once the second is hit, they start to retreat, again without returning fire.
    Its hard to say, Obviously they were not doing a movement to contact but its more or less a ambush while on a road march to a phase line to start a operation. I think the crews inside of those vehicles are doing a lot of looking. The tanks are buttoned up as they fear the use of snipers with scopes so they are staying down. I guess they are looking to ID some targets or maybe "scratch the back" of the tank that was disabled in case of infantry assault. They may be waiting for their own snipers to start operating. I know sometimes the syrian army uses its tanks as bate to have its own special forces about 300 to 500 meters away start engaging the assaulting rebel forces. It does work pretty good. There are several tricks to fighting these sorts of insurgents in this kind of environment. remember you are only seeing a small piece of the picture through the small you tube footage of the insurgents.

    This may explain the non use of popping smoking or burning fuel which would negate the field of fire for your supporting snipers and designated marksmen.

    Interview with defected Syrian ambassador to Iraq:

    Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps troops with Syrian Army troops. They're standing at the back of the lines behind the fighting formation like they're providing an advisory role. This was "leaked" by a Syrian Army soldier. What that usually means is they're an opposition spy. Sometimes Syrian soldiers are just idiots and post stuff on the internet, other times their cell phones are captured and searched for videos like this. IRGC troops wear red as apart of their uniforms in some cases like these guys have:

    Another "leaked" video from a Syrian Air Force soldier. Shows a Ilyushin Il-76 landing to unload ammunition and then he takes a ride on an Mi-8:

    There's a difference between lost and immobilized
    .

    As long as the tower is on the tank it's a mobility kill...
    You have to blow up the tower away to destroy a tank.

    ... ahem sure...

    Well, anyways..., that's your "mobility kill" some time later:

    And here's what hapened to the tank and BMP in front of him:

    The third wreck that comes into view is - you guessed it - your "mobility kill" again...
    They were in the process of entering Azziz from the north. The wide road they were using before turning off & getting blown to pieces is the new bypass road still under construction.

    Tank no tower -> Kill
    Everything else -> mobility kill

    I've seen Israeli tanks burning out of each whole and though they called it a mobility kill because they could repair it.

    Shiiiiit. They've been keeping those 3 tanks in Rastan in a warehouse/parking garage type area to hide from helicopter's. If they take them out in the middle of the day, they'll surely be destroyed. Looks like they took them out when the light was really low.

    At my time, a burnt tank was classified as killed in the IDF. I'm not completely sure, but I don't it changed.
