    I think they are:
Nearly a million new immigrants in Germany

The latest figures from Germany's national statistics office confirm that an increasing number of immigrants are coming to Germany from European Union countries plagued by the debt crisis. Last year, some 24,000 people arrived from Greece to live and work in Germany. That is about 10,000 more than in 2010 - an increase of 90 percent. Immigration from Spain also rose 50 percent.

Arrow MEPs agree proposals toward 'fiscal union'

They really are dumb enough to push for central economic planning from Brussels. Amazing!

The Euro crisis turns out to be more a question of war and peace.

How this crisis has been handled it turned Germans - the ordinary ones you can speak with, not the ones on TV - against Europe and especially against Greece. This damage will not be repaired easily.

Furthermore, while Germans still kind of feel secure, the majority of the people do not really know what is happening right now and how the German leaders are going to the casino with the money ot their tax payers. It is a huge gamble. I guarantee you, if the little German tax payer is going to get cheated and betrayed by his leaders out of his retirement funds, his dreams of a small family and a house, his ability to have a decent life, then exactly this guy will go on a rampage. And he will not be alone. Then everything is going to be dead what the foudners of the European Communities after WW2 dreamed about.

I seriously doubt that the euro crisis is going to lead to a war in Europe.

    Greeks hoarding canned food

NERVOUS Greeks are withdrawing up to 800 million euros ($1.01 billion) a day and stocking up on canned food as they fear the country will be forced to leave the eurozone after this Sunday's election.

Greek citizens fear the ramifications of a return to the country’s previous currency, the drachma, if the radical left-wing party and strong election contender SYRIZA wins this weekend.

Bankers said daily withdrawals from the major banks were hitting €500-€800 million ($631.8 million-$1.01 billion), ******* reported.

Meanwhile, retailers say consumers are stocking up on non-perishable foods like pasta and canned goods.

EU is similar to ex-Yugoslavia and the end could be also similar if there will be no foreign invasion.

Yes it is. Few former rich countries and a lot of beggars. When money will disappear, nationalisms will rise again and you know the rest of the story. The same recipe as in Yugoslavia. Of course there could also be a revolution like French or Russian in 1917, when hungry people will kill elites.

There might be some unrest in poorer states in the south or east... but certainly not in western or central Europe.
Therefor "the EU" as entity can not be compared with ex-Yugoslavia. And even then the comparision is far-fetched.

Plus Russia 1917 is not ex-Yugoslavia.. that would be a totally different case

^ ^ ^ You are mistaken, sharing the EU to the east and west. The EU will have to split into the "poor South" and "rich north". Spain and Italy awaits the fate of Greece. U.S. credit rating agencies can easily drown in debt these countries. In reality, the question is the fate of France. Whether it will remain in the "core of the EU" or join the "poor south" ...
This weakening of the EU has developed in the interests of Germany, which is trying to get more power in the EU. The EU is much more heterogeneous state than Yugoslavia.
In addition, America and Britain are interested in developing crisis in Europe. I'm afraid, but the Germans can expect a repetition of the "Weimar Syndrome # 2", resulting in the collapse of the EU. Nationalist and fascist regimes in the Balkans, Poland and the Baltic republics exacerbate the situation ...

Anyone who think its going to deteriorate into World War 3 is living in a fantasy land. Mass unemployment public sector cutbacks and shattered pensions are already happening, so financially, we're already at rock bottom. Will socialist and nationalist parties pick up more votes in many coutries? Sure. Will it turn into a war? Err no.

What happens in Greece merely influences how long things will stay as they are, not wether things will get worse.

    Agreed.

Not even close. There is still a pretty good standard of living in Europe, and potentially a long way to fall. Hopefully, though, it is already near the bottom for this recession.

    Again, agreed.

Not necessarily true. If Greece flat-out defaults and walks away from all its creditors, the exposure is high enough that such a move could take down the European banking system entirely. I do not think that will happen, but if the Greeks elect some crazy ubernationalist government, it is possible.

Spain's foreign minister, José Manuel García-Margallo, said the EU's future would be played out in days or perhaps even hours.

Instead of trying to blackmail the EU to get more money he should begin to reform his own mess. Spain is far behind it's original plans.
