Anyways, he had an interesting shooting position.

No! there is only one right way and it was whatever way I was shown A.) first or B.) by someone claiming to be from a more highspeed unit than the last guy who showed me something.

@RG59620, may I give some other tips ?
    - Out-fit you carrier. The top of the front plate should be at the top of your breastbone, there were your clavicle's stop.
From that point down, you have your vital organs.
    - Get your leg holster up more. (tip's: http://youtu.be/hNSn19NnxLI )
    - Get some Tan boot's
    - And... the chicken wing..

@BrainT, Your squad leader should worry about not to get shot in the first place... LOL
chicken-wing'ing it like this, it will give you a higher profile and it's much harder to be high speed, in a position like this.
Tuck it in, low profile, high speed, compact. works the best for me...

    well,
if we are getting über-picky with the "realism" of his impressions
then theres plenty of things we can pull apart, but its airsoft at the end of
the day and its supposed to be fun, not a competitive sport to get every last
detail exactly as it was when some random SF operator was pictured picking his
nose on a patrol somewhere dusty...

Alot of blokes are getting up about the chicken wing, look, "high
speed" is the ability to do your job smooth and efficiently and have your
kit set up so it is most effective for you and your task, thats what makes you
fast and that makes you high speed. If you are going in confined spaces get
your arm down so you can clear doorways and windows and hallways easier, if you
naturally like your arm up and have room to do it go nuts, as it may be more
comfortable for you, as long as you can operate that weapon smoothly and
efficiently do what you ****ing like mate.

Ultimately, you play airsoft, so enjoy yourself, be comfortable and have fun,
dont get so caught up about being exactly like some dude you saw once in a
picture because you are not him nor will you find his rig or his kit layout to
be perfect for you, set things up so you can use them properly. You are not
everyone else so dont bother trying to be.
