United States President Barack Obama ready to strike Iran to stop Iranian nuclear weapon program.
http://tinyurl.com/7vjnvrqNo one should doubt that President Barack Obama is prepared to use military force to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon if sanctions and diplomacy fail, the president’s former special assistant on Iran said.
“There are consequences if you act militarily, and there’s big consequences if you don’t act,” said Ross, who in a two- hour interview at the Bloomberg Washington office laid out a detailed argument against those who say Obama would sooner “contain” a nuclear-armed Iran than strike militarily.

Iran closer to bomb than world realizes?
Warning: 1-year prediction may be too optimistic
http://www.wnd.com/2012/01/iran-clos...orld-realizes/A report that Iran is about a year away from having the capability to build a nuclear bomb may be too optimistic, contended John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
“I worry the publicly available information is giving only a very small picture and that Iran is actually even much further along,” Bolton said today in a radio interview.
Bolton was on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on New York’s WABC Radio. The former ambassador was asked about a statement from a former head of U.N. nuclear inspections claiming Iran is now just a year or so away from having enough enriched uranium to assemble a nuclear bomb.
If this is it, then it actually seems like a pretty decent and capable platform
Iran reportedly designed an Unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV)
http://www.navyrecognition.com/index...sk=view&id=294Iranian researchers have built a "smart remote-control submarine" (or UUV unmanned underwater vehicle) with the subsurface speed of 10 meters per second, according to the semi-official Iranian news agency ISNA.
According to ISNA, the submarine, dubbed the ‘Phoenix’, ”also possesses beautiful appearance and capable of carrying out different maneuvers.”
Weighing 3 kilograms, the Phoenix has a single screw propulsion system and a fin maneuverability system.
It “can carry out surveillance up to one meter,” according to ISNA, adding that a camera can be installed on the submarine and the system can be employed in maritime and military roles.
10 m/seconds sounds too good to be true while "surveillance up to 1 meter" sounds too crap to be true. But hey, it is beautiful!

Sayyari added that the Jamaran 2 destroyer is being manufactured domestically under supervision of Iranian specialists.
He also said the new destroyer model will be more advanced than the first "Jamaran" destroyer launched in the Persian Gulf waters in February 2010.
First Jamaran "destroyer" (actually a light frigate considerng its roughly 1,500 tons displacement) was also domestically-manufactured, and it completed its first international mission on December 18, after conducting counter-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden.
I'm surprised they didn't call this one a cruiser or battleship
some part are informative but there are some that can made people chuckle like little girls too
