What about the french in indochina or the british against the americans or even america in vietnam. Every army has suffered defeats. The italians were not prepared for a war like world war 2. As we seen what happened to the french against the germans. No need to pick on the italians when trained right and highly motivated the italians could fight as well as anybody. Ask the british, french and greeks against the folgore at el alamein.

My grandfather fought for the italian army in world war 1. He was wounded and has several medals. He said he was honored to fight for his country and loved his country. Have some respect for those who died fighting. Btw im german and scottish also.

Instead of being ignorant you guys should look at a study done by a major of the marine corps. It's called the italian military enigma. This is a great piece and i think it will help you guys get out of 1945 britain. Type into google The Italian Military Enigma.

Where can I get a hold of this study? You see, my time travel experiment went awfully wrong and now I'm trapped in 1945 Britain.

    Edit:

Type into google The Italian Military Enigma.
    Thank you.

300,000 + dead Italians would argue the point that they did not just throw down their weapons and run, but 280,000 of that figure with bullet wounds to the back might explain it

Nah in all seriousness I do believe there is an element of propaganda to the stick the Italians get for WWI and WWII, kind of like the French - no wait - they did just surrender without a fight

That's a very good point H, I mean its not like he had the charisma that Hitler commanded (during the early parts of the war anyway).
