I posted this in the thread about Kyle in general chat earlier. It makes me dislike Ventura even more than I already do. It also makes me think he's just going senile in his old age.

I can understand someone's disagreement with the war, but to say that and more with the families present is cruel. Ventura deserved to get punched there.
I thought he was a former service member... What a mook.
Wasn't there the controversy about him actually not being a SEAL at all ? But a member of UDT when he was in Vietnam, and he saying all over the place that he was a full fledge member of a SEAL team
I suppose he doesn't find UDT to be so uber high speed compared to when SEALS are mentioned. I find it to be disrespectful to the guys that were with him and those that served in UDT.
He'll still wear those SEAL shirts like he got them on bulk discount though.
I'd buy Chris a brewery if I could.
Technically he was never a SEAL
Ventura graduated with BUD/S class 58 in December 1970[7] and was part of Underwater Demolition Team 12 (UDT).[8] The UDTs were merged with the US Navy SEALs in 1983, 8 years after Ventura had left the Navy.Ventura would be blurring an important distinction by claiming to be a SEAL when he was actually a frogman with the UDT. Compared to SEAL Teams, UDTs saw less combat and took fewer casualties.
Never got a combat action ribbon in 'Nam apparently.
Serves him right. Jesse Ventura is a douchebag and should be punched by everyone he comes across.
just ordered Chris' new book a few days ago. I wonder if he is a tad bit ashamed of punching Mr. Ventura (who is 60 years old, and was in UDT, and does have the right to disagree w/ any war as Chris stated). just seems a little bit over the top, like he has told that story a bit too many times. At any rate, I would buy Chris a brew and buy Jesse a brew also.
