I agree with Panjaitan. Proceeding this way can only be justified in order to hide the acquisition from its own people. I doubt whether Indonesia nor Malaysia can pass such a costly purchase without having to notify their respective parliament.

My guess is Azerbaijan.
I don't know about Malaysia but as fas as we know
TNI will get Rp. 150 trillion (roughly equivalent of 15-16 Billion USD) found to buy new toy for fiscal years 2011-2014 alone.
they might get more coz last time, it was 100 trillion for 2010-2014.but they change it in 2011.

and recently TNI is buying arms in quite quantity instead of one or two.
such us

hundreds of KH-178 to replace aging 76 mm mountain Arty
a squadron of T-50 (usually we buy them in number)
3 new subs (1,1 bil USD)
ordering 4 Trimaran(60 M) Fast Missile Boat (one will be in sea trial in May)
ordering 24 40M FPB (two of them is finish already)
the plan to buy 100 Leopard 2 MBT

so there is small chance there, but no one can tell for sure.

I think these will be purchased from or joint-developed with Korea. Israeli purchase should be involved elsewhere.

[*******#000000]IAI is not obliged to notice the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, since it is not a public company. And it has absolutely no reasons to spread rumors.
But it is impossible to hide a deal of such scale.

Globes admits that it was incorrect report. So it was Globes mistake.
In an earlier report about the deal, "Globes" incorrectly said that the customer was India.

Subs is indeed from korea.

but the trimaran (60M) is made by North Sea boats

here's their model.

(I hope the pic is shown.)
I've seen the actual pic of the boat being made, but I can't find it anymore in the local military forum.
sorry.

.....More than three years ago John had another lunch appointment with the head of the Indonesian Navy.
The latest PT Lundin product at the market is X-38 Patrol and combat Catamaran whose design was commissioned in-part by the Swedish Search and Rescue Service. The boat reaches a speed of 40 knots or approximately 100 kilometres per hour.

“At that meeting I was asked to come up with some very special. Something worthy coming after a proven success as X2K” says John Lundin. He also underlines the difficulties talking about a military project during the creative process.

But John tries to explain as much as he can without breaching any military secrets.

John looked around for a design with lots of speed. It was obvious that it had to be a trimaran. At that time some designers in New Zealand was designing a speed ghost called EarthRace. The boat later won the around the world race. EarthRace is proven the fastets boat ever designed and build.

“Lizza and I plus seven other staff went to New Zealand were we got the attention from day one. I asked them what would happen if we more the less made EartRace three or four times bigger. The answer was that the result would be much much better. The people behind the EarthRace very ready to take part in the development of a super patrol boat witch would almost be a competitor to the much more expensive Swedish patrol boat.

Three years after The Lundins first trip to New Zealand the couple has spend more than 5. mio. US dollars in design and development. Lesser than half of that amount has been sponsored by others.

“We have signed a contract with the Indonesian Navy on delivery of one trimaran patrol boat 60 metres long made in carbon glassfiber and we have the option of three more boats. The Americans have made a trimaran 120 metres long but in aluminium. The only sort of comparable boat at the market is Kockums Visby witch is more advanced but also much much more expensive”, John Lundin insures.

To day the production facilities are ready in Banuywangi. A 63 metres long hall has just enough space to the new project. Workers already prepare wood to make the skeleton to the carbon fibre boat. The carbon fibre witch is also used for production of airplanes and Formula One cars are 20 times stronger than steel.

Thanks for the pic. The one being developed with Korea is KCR-70 which I heard to be 70 meters long, correct?

And another last off-topic question: does Indonesia consider buying a self-propelled variant of KH-178? The trucked model, I believe.

Wow, thanks. Even our local media did not bring us news that we've exported the 105mm truck SPHs to Indonesia. Best wishes to your shipyards for the corvettes and submarines too.

Spreading rumors was a bad taste of words from my part, disinformation sounds much better. You are right IAI is not a public company, I think they adopt the accountability principles of such in light of their wish to privatize the company.

Sea to sea missile could be Spike ER or NLOS, Finland uses Spike ER them on tripod as coastal battery defense. The IN armed its Super Dvora with Spike ER. As for the Green Pine radar it doesn't make much sense unless Israel want a monitoring station just north of Iran.

2. Probably newer batch of TAR-21
3. Barak 1 & 2 SAM
4. New BMD shield is deployed, But there is a possibility that due to low rate of production in country, We are looking at another green pine.
5. AESA radar for Newer Destroyers
6. Derby for LCA.

Lot more..

Though things can be different..
