I may be on the liberal side... but OB, some of your posts are just plain worthless...
I honestly don't like either candidate right now and I believe neither one could really do too much for the country.
...And he back to being an idiot. Tune in next week as we revert back to Bush being an evil genius.Originally Posted by OB Kenobi

Stick around here a while longer and you'll see why I make insulting worthless posts to some of the people on this forum. I would be happy to have a reasonable discussion with you if you have some point you'd like to make.Originally Posted by catchv22
Who said I liked Kerry? In this very thread I said I didn't, scroll up a few posts. I agree with you, the mistake has already been made, many Demorats were for the war as much as the Republicans were, now the best we can hope for is to minimize the damage in Iraq and not repeat that kind of mistake.I honestly don't like either candidate right now and I believe neither one could really do too much for the country.
Btw, have no doubt about it, Kosovo and Bosnia will come back to haunt us too.
Why Kosovo? Did we kill some of your genocidal Slavic brothers?

Well said. Obviously Kerry has speech writters too, but there is no question about who is the more articulate speaker. Whenever I watch a Bush speach I always get the idea that he is acting as more of a tool for his handlers (Karen Hughs, **** Cheney, etc.) than speaking his own opinions. It is also humiliating, as an American, to watch him attempt to have news conferences next to other world leaders. That is exactly why the man has had fewer news conferences than any other president in recent history. How many times can your aids clean up your "misspeakings" before people start to figure out you don't know know what the heck you are talking about. For instance, last week Bush goes on the Today show and tells America we can't win the war on terror. The next weeks are spent doing damage control.
The Republicans seem good at picking a point on which to criticise their opponent and then saying it over and over again. Last election it was that Bush would "restore integrity" to the office, as if Al Gore was just running for president so he could bang interns. This year its that John Kerry "flip-flops" on the issues. What does that even mean? You can pick almost any politician and find contradictions in their career. Just look at Bush..."we can't win the war on terror". Next day "Of course we can win the war on terror". 2001: Osama dead or alive. 2004: Maybe he's not that important.
Bush didn't touch on any of the issues in the coming election that really interest me. No mention of how long it will be until Osama Bin Laden is brought to justice. No mention of how he is going to reduce the budget deficit (if he stays another 4 years will it be 14 trillion by the time he is done?). No mention of how he will keep my job from going overseas. I have little confidence in a man who needs to use the "war on terror" as a crutch every time he speaks because his record on most other issues is poor or non-existant. I like John Kerry's plan for a larger military with more special forces, but he doesn't constantly beat you over the head with it as his primary running platform.
