Except that when you don't follow His order, you burn in hell for eternity, and eternity that's quite a long time to burn.
With the human fascists, when they burn you, that takes just the time you die.
I have the strange feeling that what bother you is that you think only God ( and by God, I mean the human being who speak in His name ) have the right to oppress people. That's quite a funny idea of "freedom".

Meh...I just go to my local Catholic priest for a confession and get absolved.
Couple of "Mea Culpas" and "Hail Mary's" will do the trick.

It's funny how one person going against the grain can generate 30+ pages of rage that seems to span the globe.

The 'rage' is mostly from non Dutch though, us Dutch seem to be devided between 'exasperation' and 'amused'.

Official language for europe? What would that be, esperanto?

How are we going to force it to non-eu states?

And trying to rationalize a flawed law.

What law? It hasn't been brought to parliament yet.

The original proposal was heavily criticised and was advised against. It has been amended since and checked with both national and EU laws and guidelines. So far the only thing that has been decided is it will be taken to parliament sometime in the future.

This is what I don't understand. The only people who seem to be getting really wound up over all this won't even have to live with the law if it does pass!

Official reaction from the Dutch police (you know those people that will be tasked with enforcing the laws around here); "We can't spare the manpower (= we can't be arsed) to go look for violations of this law if it comes into effect".

Well, your country, your rules, Dutch posters on these forums. Although I disagree with this law and that it will not solve ethnic tensions between Europeans and Islamic immigrants, so long as there aren't additional bills put forward by the Dutch parliament that seeks to discriminate against Islam specifically or any other religion solely, then you won't hear from me again.

I totally agree the logic in this law is flawed. Protecting freedom by restricting the freedom to restrict freedom. Total contradictio in terminis.

But then again, you as a devout Catholic wil understand there's more to laws than logic
