Oh I believe that as well. I just think that's not how Ordie sees it.

The law is the law and everyone has to obey to it no matter what u believe in so everyone is equal but you think otherwise? And you talk about reigous expression...... and you dont know where it starts and where it has to stop. Poor soul.

You must be trolling... seriously you do not care about other people or living with other people at all.
Right... By that logic, I could ask you what type of bended crosses tattoos you have ?!

You do realized that laws are what you make them to be. And in this case (chronologically) religion did came first. So you can decide on a law that accommodates that.

Do you jump with fear when you pass a burqa woman? Or guys on scooters? What do you need protection from?
I don't care for face covering woman, so I don't socialize with them. But I don't have the urge to dictate to others how to live their life. Especially since it does not have any direct impact on my life.

That's why we should respectfully disagree. It's a debate. I dunno about some people here, but I come here to to get my news and debate and discuss subjects with like-minded people. I really hate to see threads get closed or people banned and stuff cause of immature bickering. Ordie may not agree with us, but I'm sure he's a great guy and has some pretty great in-depth analysis on subjects that he's knowledgeable in.

That is most certainly true, but European issues especially in regards to immigration and integration can hardly be described as his stong points in which he is knowledgeable.

To be frank, he spouts retarded bullshit with an arrogance unheard of.

In other topics Ordie is indeed a valuable contributor, just not in here

    Collinsville Illinois Bans Baggy Pants

Not only does that fascist policy force you to pull up your pants, it's also racist and targeting African Americans.

Councilman Michael Tognarelli told reporters there was a connection between saggy trousers and gang activity.

Occupy Collinsville! Let's march through town with our trousers at our ankles and show our solidarity with our fellow baggy-pants'd brethren.

@Hexer:Yeahhh, I know. Just trying to be fair.

Banning saggy trousers is not racist. It's homophobic

The problem with you guys is that you want to plan and regulate everything to conform in your image.
Actually, I completely agree with you here. Freedom would work, in the long run. But since Europe is Europe, with al its regulations (which also have their benefits), allowing such freedoms while the rest of society is still regulated, is a bad idea. Like you said: a "typical Euro response"; what else would work in Europe?

But wait, i just read a news about two finnish students who were arrested for public drinking. Its part of their heritage and it doesnt hurt anyone, why were they arrested?

Or is it maybe that also in America some things about your original culture are ok while others are not, and its well defined.

You also completely fail to take in to account, that most of the time Burkha is not choice made by the women themselves. Those women are indoctrinated from their birth. On principle i agree with you, in practice i dont.

I guess most went abroad for economic reasons. But I must say a lot of fundamentalist religious people left as well. Such as the mayflower crazies.
