Wow I knew it was Ordie before I even clicked on this
For months, Republican presidential hopefuls steadfastly avoided any discussion of immigration, except to rotely demand tougher and stricter border enforcement.
Now we know why: They have no answers.

Stricter Enforcement is an answer, it's just not the answer Ordie and the left wants to hear. To them its all about getting as many illegals in as humanely possible.
One has to admit that with out Ordie this forum would be a lot more boring...But Ordie you must know that in many if not most cases high levels of integration come at a price and in order to pay for that price you will be taxed by your government - and I am not sure if you are willing to pay that price for other people
What part of illegal is so damn difficult to understand? There happens to be a law about entering the US without proper paperwork.
As an outsider, it looks that no party wants to stop immigration. It seems that the campaign supporters have an interest in cheap labor, whatever it costs the taxpayer.
Otherwise it would be a smarter way if you punish the companies who emply illegals.
Illegal documentation would do the trick. Off the top of my head I don't have a source. Consider Occam's Razor though. Which party screams the loudest when the subject of making voter identification more strict comes up? Seems the ones screaming the loudest would have the most to lose.
Most of the illegals from the south come up to the US for the free medical(no social security number to hound for payment), cash and food allowance through welfare. More freebies if they have kids.
Where else do they do this outside the US? Nowhere.
Nope, by law they cannot. That is not technically welfare program but is one of my pet peeves. But, having said that, they do what is necessary by the law and treat most as triage. They do not get follow up care through say a PCP as in you or me with Insurance. But, yeah, still a burden to us.
