You can always go to the library, I know there are many good ones in the place you live. Books don't bite.

Kudos Climber, keep kicking the f**k into the Big C.

Huge respects, it's touched too many people in my life.

And hey, we actually got something positive out of all 3,762 Falklands threads. Who'd have thunk it...

True, but if you're completely ignorant of a subject, then a digital encyclopedia will be a good source to get the general background info, then dive into books to find the specifics.

I only asked for the main details on the war,not the small details. I wanted to know in general(not more then 4-5 sentences about it). For that you don't need a book. Anyway,i read about it in Wikipedia.

I watched it in TeleSur. Have been looking for dubbed videos but have seen none and the few i have found in spanish are edited.

This is the best so far in spanish, skip to about the middle until you see the picture of a Typhoon, from there if you don't speak spanish the gestures and pictures will give you an idea of what's been said.

The only english video i found thats supposed to be from the BBC had the audio all messed up. Am still trying to find an english dubbed or subbed version.

In his conference Timerman claims there are lots of military anntenas in the Falklands, maybe they can intercept some low level trafic. Deployment educated guesses can be made with a tap into the logistics communications, for example that's what the Soviets were buying from the Walker spy ring.

The images he presented in the conferece look like wikipedia material used to support insane claims.

Thanks, archibald. I had a good little giggle over it, though I'm pretty confused as to why there's an image of a TAURUS cruise missile in the video. I'm pretty sure the UK doesn't use them?

Nope, and the Storm Shadow stand-off missile that the UK will eventually use to equip Typhoon isn't going to be integrated on the aircraft for at least another two years; so it's a bit daft to suggest they pose any stand-off threat. German and Spanish Eurofighters will eventually be the ones carrying Taurus.

Of the two, perhaps they're using Taurus as an example because it's got a longer publicized range than Storm Shadow/SCALP and is therefore 'scarier'. However, it is widely understood that the missiles used by the RAF and ALA probably have a greater range than the 250-300km range that MBDA attributes to SCALP (MTCR restrictions being what they are).

I love how they're the ones who started the constant threats and now they think they're going to be invaded.

Thats the problem with a big lie, it tends to perpetuate itself

Why does he talk about the KEPD 350 when its only used by the Germans and Spain?
