The Canadian is a SAR tech. They are the only one who wear Orange in the CF. The standard CF color is Green, Tan for SOF, Maroon for Jumpers, Black for Tankers (and sailors), Blue for Air Force, Red for MPs.........
Since the US army has banned their standard, black beret from daily usage, a lot of commotion has been going around, with people in favour (or not in favor) of wearing the distinctive, wool headgear. This thread is for all of those who wish to show their units or countries' berets, either used in the field or in barracks. If this thread already exists, please let me know.

Here's my beret I used to wear 1980 - 1990 in the Bundeswehr (German Forces).
Black = tank
the little yellow needle = signals
I was the signals platoon leader of our tank battalion

G-AWZT, yes. (not to exclude the OPFOR units at NTC and JRTC.) HM, notice the TACP airmen in "blues" in the background of your photo.
