Ignoring Allies in Afghanistan

It seems US allies are not so happy with the approach President Obama has taken in reagrds to US moves to leave the region quickly. Could President Obama be rushing to the Pacific to quickly. Would be a shame if we had to go back to Afghanistan after all treasure and toil.
