Default Soldiers don fake belly, breasts to better understand pregnant troops

CAMP ZAMA, Japan – The Army is ordering its hardened combat veterans to wear fake breasts and empathy bellies so they can better understand how pregnant soldiers feel during physical training.

This week, 14 noncommissioned officers at Camp Zama took turns wearing the “pregnancy simulators” as they stretched, twisted and exercised during a three-day class that teaches them to serve as fitness instructors for pregnant soldiers and new mothers.

They're learning to be fitness instructors. They will have to set exercises etc for troops, some of who may be pregnant. Therefore some idea of the effects pregnancy on the ability to move/stretch/run etc might be applicable. It's not as retarded as it sounds.

    I'll buy that. Kinda.

Doesn't excuse the fact that the PT routine was still lame. I'd rather stab myself than do a dance fusion exercise class.

Gotcha. I think they should first PT some more. Some of those boys are a little generous in the midsection.
