Indo-Russian fighter jet better than Chinese, US aircraft

Original 200+ J-10A (produced before 2011) installing Russia AL-31FN jet engines, and 2011 China ordered another 200+ AL-31FN engines from Russia as old J-10A's replacements. Recent years new J-10A and future J-10B fighter mainly installing domestic WS-10 jet engines, China will reduce AL-31F & AL-31FN import numbers.

If I remember right, China's only foreign defense related purchases last year were engines. Not only that, but the purchase pattern looks like they bought just enough to replace existing installations and one more year of production and stock up before Russia/Ukraine stops selling them to them. In other words, China thinks its about 18 months before WS-10 (and other) engines are deemed good and production is flowing.

About AL-41FN ... where u get information China J-10A with AL-41FN jet engine? Russian told u ?

Ah, yeah J-10 with former AL-31, Mixed with with AL-41 high thrust engine, Russian are making AL-41-F1 only for PAK-FA & FGFA..
Anyways, Does J20 are with AL-41 ? or low thrust engine WS-10 ?

As I know Russian keep selling their engine AL-31 to J-11B. J-10 will used AL-31FN not Al-41. russian had offer Al-41 to J-20. yeah the Russian still need money that why they keep selling Al-31FN

I vaguely remember that first prototype had AL-41F while second had WS-10. You could ask mpleio, he is posting these info on Chinese photos thread.

J-20 was with AL-41 ? Russian may have offered AL-41 before J-11 fisco, But afterwards is highly doubt full..

Im gonna go out on a limb and say the chicoms are right, its premature to say whether the J-20 is better or worse than the PAK-FA...or indeed the -F-22

In reality, none of us have the radar returns of each aircraft, or even FULL performance figures, so saying one or the other is better is stupid.
