The response to the deniers is exactly why public discourse on any subject should be allowed. It exposes the malicious lies and educates a wider audience about historical events. At least the process of passing the genocide law (which I oppose on civil rights grounds) educated countless people in France and the rest of the world about the first genocide of the 20th century.
