Most software being made for PC is for Windows? There are a lot of programs that arent being made for(overpriced) macs and linux. And as i would prefer to have same system on pc and mobile systems, there is no choice but windows, as mac doesnt fulfills my needs.
Having a play with it now, seems quite nice now that I have got used to the different interface. Can't get the mapping or weather apps to run, so either the server doesn't exist or its severely overloaded right now.
Best thing so far, you can mount ISO images without needing any 3rd party add-ins.
Downloading the iso. Looks promising, if it actually turns out to be light and zippy I might consider buying it. The only thing which might dissuade me from buying it would be appearance of some Linux distro that will top metro UI with something better within an year with improved compatibility.
I like the idea of having a touch screen on the laptop, a lot of times while surfing on the couch with the laptop on my, well, lap have i found myself weary of the trackpad and wanted to just tap or swipe on the screen to interact with the computer, start the music player, skip songs, scroll the browser page, mark a lot of files that I want to move/drag etc. But I'm afraid they will only find themselves on tablet+dock type of "laptops" with ARM and not on classic screen-attached-to-keyboard x86 laptops, on which they should, in my opinion, be a widely available option. It's just so much more convenient, and whoever doesn't need it doesn't have to buy one with it..
