That's the point and you're proving it by telling me how ignorant I am that I need to care more about that book.
I should not feel bad or be told to feel bad about not taking the Koran as seriously as Muslims. That's the fear the fear and pressure the West faces today. Thanks for perpetuating it.
I agree, I believe that the Koran is important to muslims, just like I believe 'life'/bible is important to others. It is no excuse for the action they take, it's unacceptable.
What, you mean like the lives of aid workers?
How about a simple courtesy of equivalence. We burn your book, so feel free to burn ours.
As for your latter statement...
Histrionics...
the pattern of excessive emotionality and attention seeking.
Pretty sure you are describing yourself here.
They shouldn't feel bad. Its just my opinion. They should feel the desire to debate, discuss just as we are.
Instead, I'm supposed to apologize and feel bad anytime someone doesn't appropriately pay due respect to the Holy Koran.
A long list of religions and books have nee through history and its evident in this thread and many others that a disproportionate response comes from the Muslim community when dealing with their religion.
If 5 pakistani soldiers burned the Mormon bible, do you think the response from churches in Utah would be the same? (Rhetorical question).
I don't think people should inflame just like those soldiers did, its never good so its sad the damage its done.
No. I meant whatever he cared for. As in he who the question was directed at. Not you. Nice attempt in attention seeking though.
Really? "Hahaha" is excessive?
Or, is there some other evidence you have to back your claim up with?
Or, is this just another case of attacking the messenger because you don't like the message?
So, not really that 'sure' then...
Based on your self-assumed normalcy. How is that supposed to compare to them?
Do you know any Muslims? I mean really know?
You personnally? The same as they should individually apologise for the actions of a deranged minority?
So, because it's been done to other 'books' throughout history, 'they' should just get over it. Noted.
Interesting comparison, given the historical propensity for violence surrounding the Mormons religious beliefs.
Muslims are backwards, is that what you're saying?
Where was US society 100 years ago? Are they supposed to be at your level now? How so?
Repost...........
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/new...-1226288821609 Let's see if this apology flies any better than Obama's.
This didn't even make news here. They apologised I guess and it wasn't state encouraged etc. Shame it happened but they have a lot on their plate at the moment.
It just means that there is at least one sane person there. Probably at all.
