    Default Iran parliamentary elections

    http://news.yahoo.com/polls-open-ira...055842405.html

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Polls opened in Iran's parliamentary elections on Friday, the country's first major voting since the disputed re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in June 2009 and the mass protests and crackdowns that followed.

The balloting for the 290-member parliament is unlikely to change Iran's course over major policies — including its nuclear standoff with the West — regardless of who wins, but it may shape the political landscape for a successor to Ahmadinejad in 2013.
In the morning hours, Iranian state TV went live from several polling stations in the capital Tehran, showing long queues of people waiting to cast their ballot. More than 48 million Iranians are eligible to vote at the nearly 47,000 polling stations across the nation.
In the absence of major reformist parties, which were kicked off the political stage over the 2009 post-election riots, Friday's vote is seen as a political battleground for competing conservative factions that support the country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and those backing Ahmadinejad.

The two top conservative groups, which were once united, have turned against each other after crushing reformists in the upheavals that followed Ahmadinejad's disputed re-election.
The vote is also a curtain raiser for next year's presidential election. A defeat for Ahmadinejad supporters would virtually guarantee a Khamenei loyalist as the next president and present a seamless front against Western efforts to curb Iran's uranium enrichment program.

But how exactly do they fake it? From whom do they take votes and to whom do they give them?

They have the choice of the Crazy Party or the Loony Party and they are free to pick either, and if they pick the wrong one the result will be adjusted afterwards as a service to the voter.

So it seems the "principleist" die-hard conservative rivals of Ahmydinnerjacket secured a landslide victory. You know the world is going places when a loony like him looks like a liberal set off against others.

Regardless of who the people 'pick' (among their pathetic choices for leadership) "ASSWIPE Party" needs to be removed permanently.

It΄s like that joke we had during socialism.

Short-sighted man, strong pro-communist, walks into the voting room during elections, takes sheets with parties and goes behind curtain. There he mistakenly puts paper sheet of soc democratic party (beside CP there were also other cangaroo parties) into the envelope and takes other sheets with him to proove everyone that he voted for communists. However when he comes home he is horrified when he finds out about his mistake. He quickly grabs phone and calls to voting comission in his district and tells them what happened. Chairman of commission listens to him and than answers "Do not worry, comrade. Your mistake has been already notified and corrected."

The Iranian people are attending elections to choose the already chosen ones. The elections are not fake but the framework within which all the chosen will have to work in has been determined by the higher authority.

I dare to say that the framework of the US republican primaries is set and the proposed candidates will work within this framework and no odd candidate will disturb it. (ron)
