    First thought was a Gloster prottype, but is it a Fleetwings [FONT=Arial]XBQ-2A?[/FONT]

    weird - that's exactly what I thought , something about the shape of the fuselage and cockpit shouted Meteor testbed.

    Compare the two pictures closely, and they are *exactly* the same. The only difference is that the canopy is open in one pic, and closed in the other.
