US Soldier Arrested for Shooting Afghan Civilians

The more revelations there are about this the worse it gets. Even though it was already horrendous. Usual damning statement from Karzai, the next few weeks are going to be punchy because of these actions. Here's. Breakdown that goes beyond the shooter.

An Afghan minister earlier told ******* that a lone U.S. soldier had killed up to 16 people when he burst into homes in villages near his base in the middle of the night.Panjwayi district is about 35 km (22 miles) west of the provincial capital Kandahar city. The district is considered the spiritual home of the Taliban and is believed to be a hive of insurgent activity.
Haji Samad said 11 of his relatives were killed in one house, including his children. Pictures showed blood-splattered walls where the children were killed.
"They (Americans) poured chemicals over their dead bodies and burned them," a weeping Samad told ******* at the scene.
"I saw that all 11 of my relatives were killed, including my children and grandchildren," said Samad, who had left the home a day earlier.
Neighbors said they awoke to crackling gunfire from American soldiers, whom they described as laughing and drunk.
"They were all drunk and shooting all over the place," said neighbor Agha Lala, who visited one of the homes where the incident took place. "Their bodies were riddled with bullets."

Also on a German site (Spiegel) they said he was from a "special unit". It's all rumors and hearsay at this point though.

Given his well-known "crusade" against the American SF community since the day he got kicked out of a SF compound (and his online accusations against a Quiet Professional), it's just incredible sick that Yon exploits this incident for his very own personal gain. His Facebook entries are already pointing fingers. Guy is a Class A dumbass.
