Diablo III Thread - for nerds

You dont expect Blizzard to release 2 games in same year, do you?

Blizz is releasing at least two games this year, maybe three: Diablo, new WoW expansion and new SC2 expansion. I was hoping they'll release new WoW and new SC2 this year and postpone Diablo 3, but it seems like that's not happening.

Myself, I only played original Diablo, back in the olden days, so I don't care about D3 that much. I'd rather have Heart of the Swarm this year. 8)

Blizzard is special. Its games are worth to be bought(and not just illegally downloaded, as you miss too much content that way).

Yep, both Diablo's I own new copy, paid for. Same with Skyrim, it is that good. I shop Stean sales and get good deals.

The game will be great! But I'm pretty sure Blizzard will once again annoy people with the online verification.
I hate that for Statecraft 2 I need to log in to Battlenet just to be able to play single player games with my user.

It not annoying as main feature of Blizzard games is online games.(But i must admit i suck at in and mostly lose matches in SC) In SC singleplayer campaign is just really big tutorial, introducing one unit per mission I played Diablo and Diablo 2 many time alone at home. But the feeling cannot be compared to playing it at internet cafe with few other players.

Do you REALLY believe it? Pushing the release date back is Blizzards hobby. (And WoW doesnt count anyway)

Since HotS beta still hasn't come out and they announced DIII release date, yeah, no chance.

In view of Starcraft II being a grand game altogether I really have hope that they didn't fuck up Diablo III.

I tried loading Diablo II on my Mac the other day, and it doesn't work in Leopard, even with my feeble attempt at installing the updater that did make it work natively in Tiger(?... or was that Panther)....

Ugh... I'm just not interested in PC-style rooting around to make old games or apps work anymore...

Blizzard ALWAYS makes games that are behind the times in terms of graphics. Does it bother anyone? Hell no! Graphics may not be on newest level, but they dont demand newest hardware either and are made up by actual design and gameplay.

NOOOOOOOO.... I love my Mac..... And getting a PC won't fix me having memory issues on my old Windows 3.11 games either after Windows 95 came out. Hmmmm.... maybe I can emulate an old OS....

Given all the $hitty games that litter the shelves that promise the latest and greatest eye candy, I'd rather have a good game.
