So sad that we now have to face the most tragic outcome. Rest in peace.

Many thanks to all that have been taking part in the rescue effort under the most demanding conditions, the only positive thing with this has been to watch the swedes coordinate an operation that involved so many nations working together. Thanks söta bror.

RIP. I thought, that gps navigation devices already warning planes of the mountains ahead. The woman in the crew, too, she was the military?

I'm still puzzled over the fact that they managed to hit the top ridge of Sweden's highest mountain. Either the instruments on the plane must of have malfunctioned or someone screwed up, big time.

    Vila i frid.

Maybe a malfunction and a snow storm on top of that? Being in a snow storm with false data makes it hard to see a white mountain

The strong downdraft air flow in storm and late EGPWS signal or not enough pull up reaction on it. More likely that they touched the edge during the recovery.

Yes she was a Captain, started education as flight mechanic at 19, then went on to work as a flight engine engineer on the old Hercules planes for a numbe of years. When the new Hercules planes came she reeducated to cargo master.

The dead are the captain Stale Garberg (42) from Oslo, Lieutenant Colonel Truls Audun Ørpen (46) from Oslo, captain Bjorn Yngvar Haug (40) from Ullensaker, Captain Siw Robertsen (45) from Oslo and Captain Steinar Utne (35) from Oslo.
