I'm going to say that this guy's retirement is over, he should head to the DPRK and assist them in minimizing the media blow-back from this incident.

I'm pretty sure that the people that are responsible for the failed launch will disappear...

Like Ambassador(where is that guy anyways?) pointed out some time ago, South Korea is a much more important trade partner to Iran than North Korea. It's all about the $. Iran has better rocket technology than NK, and I doubt they're sharing much anymore due to economic reasons.

You guys got it all wrong. The thing is, it was supposed to blow up all along! What would the Most Beloved Leader think if his mortal minions celebrated the centennial of his birth with anything less than a firework worth a third of their national income? I think this was the proper way for the folks north of the parallel to show their appreciation to the chubby demigod, whose selfless actions lead to the creation of the haven of happiness and prosperity on Earth that is the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea!

OF COURSE they will spin it positively. The question is will anyone (in and out of N Korea) take it? Answer is no.

    N. Korea Rocket ‘May Have Broken Apart’

North Korea’s rocket, launched on Friday, appears to have broken apart minutes after blastoff, CNN quoted U.S. officials as saying.
South Korea’s Yonhap news agency on Friday cited South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seook as saying that the reclusive communist state has launched the Unha-3 long-range rocket. Two U.S. officials confirmed the launch, CNN reported.
There have been no reports of any injuries or damage inflicted by falling debris, CNN said.
Japanese officials also said the launch failed.
Prior to the blastoff, North Korea said the rocket would put a weather satellite into orbit to mark the 100th anniversary of the country's founder, Kim Il-sung. It also said the launch was in compliance with the Space Treaty, which guarantees every state the right to carry out space programs.
But the international community suspects the rocket is part of a ballistic missile program.
The G8 foreign ministers had urged North Korea to honor its commitments and cancel the launch of its rocket.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Thursday “there is no doubt that this [launch] would use ballistic missile technology.” She also threatened North Korea with possible sanctions. “If Pyongyang goes forward [in launching the rocket] we will all be back in the Security Council to take further action,” she said.
The United States, Japan and South Korea consider the launch as being in contravention of international obligations under UN Resolution 1718 and 1874, forbidding North Korea from carrying out ballistic missile test launches.
Under a deal signed in February, Pyongyang agreed to suspend uranium enrichment, as well as nuclear and long-range missile tests in return for U.S. food aid.
White House Blasts N.Korea Rocket Launch

The White House blasted on Friday the launch of a long-range rocket by North Korea.
“Despite the failure of its attempted missile launch, North Korea’s provocative action threatens regional security, violates international law and contravenes its own recent commitments,” White House spokesman Jay Carney said in a statement.
North Korea on Friday launched the Unha-3 rocket, but the three-stage craft apparently broke apart shortly after blastoff, according to reports by U.S., South Korean and Japanese officials.
“While this action is not surprising given North Korea’s pattern of aggressive behavior, any missile activity by North Korea is of concern to the international community,” Carney said.
“The United States remains vigilant in the face of North Korean provocations, and is fully committed to the security of our allies in the region,” he said.
Prior to the launch, North Korea said the rocket would put a weather satellite into orbit to mark the 100th anniversary of the country's founder, Kim Il-sung. It also said the launch was in compliance with the Space Treaty, which guarantees every state the right to carry out space programs.

End of the day it's hypocritical of any Goverment to dictate to another of it's objectives about putting satellites in space and consider all the effing fuss by Israel over Iran ... soon as NK enters the frame ..Israel and Iran is completely forgotten about to the point it became yesterdays news .. in a blink of an eye NK became world news story N1 Israeli PM never saw that one coming did he lol . Give it a week and Iran will be back in the news at the sheer delight of the Israeli PM lol

Leaders can't act like as if they are still in school ,, it's there actions that lead to altercations ..and sometimes a messy kicking is handed out The NK regime is like la religious group IE Scientology in many aspects whereby some many lap up the daily brainwashed BS that is continually broadcasted and we see what happens to those that don't lap up the everyday BS they get sent to camps some escape for a new life bottom line is NK is unpredictable and are willing to go out all bombs blazing .

A Country that has a Dead person as there eternal leader ., bear in mind if China never dived in and helped them out in the Korean War all this BS would never have happend
