I read earlier in this thread that some press "agency" released the identity of the shooter was known: it is not.
Short parallel with the tragic accident that happened last week with the children from Belgium, it has been reported by some people that some journalists went very far and ignored the most basic decency in order to collect scoops and informations (names, age, descriptions, etc...).
Releasing a torrent of verified and unverified, genuine and false informations is very dangerous; making the police job harder, the criminal behavior more unpredictable and also creating unnecessary tension/anxiety/psychose among the population.
What I mean is that there is already enough tension/anxiety/fear/... after what happened, for the public to know the modus operandi of the criminal won't improve the situation.
But, there is the famous "right to inform", even if it means flushing loads of BS down into the people ears.
