Help Identify ballistic Vest (3color desert) and Helmet

Can someone Identify the ballistc vest in the 3color desert camo?

also the black helmets they are wearing?

those are polish troops, try googling polish body armour, the helmets, I belive are regular Mitch type used by US forces, think Poland was buying them or had a contract to make them locally

yeah thats the deal and problem.

the typical body armor (in this time (arround 2004-2008) was the KAMIZELKA OLV and the KAMIZELKA KLV (for driver). But they are in polish CAMO. This is "typical US Camo"...why should polish army produce vests (kamizelka) in this pattern and not in there own Camo? The Deal was, that in this time (when i understand correct some textes) they had no "professional protection vest". so logic way is, they buy from NATO PARTNERS or other countrys?

its a Backpack in 3colorCamo, not from USA, but from Croatia (!) www.kroko.hr (modern page does not list the old stuff).

It's a US standard Interceptor vest. I think, I remember those photos, as being from Iraq. Poland received a plane load of Interceptors, as the standard Polish vest were crap. The helmet is a standard polish army helmet without covers.

Those are Interceptor vests, donated by the US of A to Poland.

Not the standard IBA of the time. The OTV is side-opening and has externally accessible plate pockets. It probably could have accepted the same soft armor inserts, however. The Stars and Stripes article I got the picture from does say the vests were US-sourced.

The standard Polish bulletproof vests of those times were deficient, as they had the hard protective plate only from the front - there were sourced by officers, that thought only about linear engagements, as in those you'd be shot most of the time from the front arc.
This one was only one of number of elements, which came to light, when a peace-loving Polish Army went to war for the first time in almost 60 years. Everything, from tooth paste up to the command and control systems turned out to be mostly crap. As a result, you get the Army that is now in Afghanistan - compare the photos, and you will see a seismic change in the level of personal protection, personal equipment and most importantly, in the training regimes.

I know, one result was the fast organisation and making of the kamizelka UKO I and II ("kandahar") I remember, which they directly produce only in pustynne (desert) camo.
