Using Ad Hominem attacks only cheapens your arguments.
Another thing that I just don't understand is that is takes longer to write : Omabanation, Obomba, Zero, the Chosen One, Dear Leader etc than just Obama. I mean seriously you are only wasting your own time to write stupid and look like a retard to every other poster here.
i used to visit this forum a lot more but with Election of Obama in 2008 the political section has became unbearable to visit. Every other day you have threads about Obama revoking gun rights, being the least biblical president, Obama being a muslim, an America hating Kenyan, LIBURALS bringing socialism, communism and any other form of isims. It's tiring to argue with the same 5 people.
I will give you this though. Forum is clean only on surface. You still have bigoted replies from the known culprits here. they have learned to make statements that are just indirect enough not to be screaming " hey look at me, I am a racist"
just my 2 cents
What is the race card? Do I have to be non-white to play it? What if I am White and I would like to call somebody out for blatant racism.
Why should I take somebody's argument seriously if it's coming from a racist standpoint.
If we agree that racist views are not welcome here, how is calling out somebody to be a racist supposedly "playing the race card" aka another form of ad hominem attack.
And I am not even talking about Obama here. I see it more prevalent in non-Obama threads.
Then again the race-card or the political correctness card can also get played preemptively by the other side.
Labeling criticism as playing the race card or being overly political correct.
Define Racist in regards to opposition of Obama?
I've been flat out called a racist by a Member here without to my knowledge ever saying anything racist. Was accused of calling Him a Kenyan when in point of fact I never did by yet another poster. Is the race card to be dropped at will to silence opposition? because that dog wont hunt.
From reading the posts in this forum, I think it is the main issue with having a Presidential type of government. People tend to vote for one guy with the expectations of him being Jesus Christ and solving all their woes, and ends up being disappointed and jaded. An example is Obama, how can one expect a one president will be able to fix a conundrum that too decades to create by multiple administrations.
It's the same thing here in the Philippines... come election time the mud slinging, followed by handshakes and high rating, then the hate for his failures.
