The ex-legionaire that was a member of 10th IDV went to Zaire.He organised and led a group made of former members of the 10th and a bunch of former members of different Red Berets units (JSO or whatever was it called then,Arkans Tigers,etc.).The 10th IDV also had a relativly large percentage of non-Serbs in its ranks (mostly Bosnian-Muslims,Croats,one or two Greeks and Sloveinans).10th IDV was a small unit,3 or 4 platoons max (if not smaller).

Yeah, who wrote the book? I suppose some "objective" and "impartial" western journalist? I also read a book once from a Greek volunteer in the Serb-Bosnian side and the Tigers were certainly not depicted as monsters. And Arkan may have been a controversial figure, but he was respected as a commander.

He actually was a good commander, especially in urban battlefields, where you have to be qick and brutal (like a street thug that he was). His "Tigers", few in numbers as they were, were also well known for their counter-attacks that stopped quite a few Croat and Muslim offensives in their tracks.

That said, he was a war profiteer, a war criminal, and, yes, a monster.

Sick , sick and damn sick...people like that are the reason why I hope that after human die there is some kind of "justice" above us like God. It's useless to say anything about this "disturbed monsters" cause calling them "animals" would be an insult for animals.
Although things like that happening among many serious criminal gangs all over the world. For example on one page on the internet similar to liveleak.com you can find a video from Mexico where two narco "monsters" using chainsaw to kill two men. Many people can't even believe what's happening on this planet and how many sick monsters living among us. It's hard to get some idea how to fight against that ? probably it's impossible - maybe in future we'll be able to use genetic engineering to cut off some part of brain which create monsters like this from Serbia.

it's hard to exactly identify these people, only ones we know for sure are the ones that have been linked to war crimes. one of their (10th) logistics people gave evidence at the hague tribunal recently. unlike that clown arkan and his petty criminals these fvckers stayed out of the sight during the war, they operated independently from the actual army, though they were under the command of a very senior officer from general hq.
