    Default Mortar strikes at FOB ICE

    Recently taliban mortar strikes at FOB ICE in afghanistan has claimed the life of one italian soldier, and wounded five others from the "1mo regimento bersaglieri".

    a bad day... was the 2 attack in few hours at the FOB... only 3 mortar rounds, after the attackers were engaged and killed by 2 helicopters A-129 Mangusta
    3 of 5 badly wounded... little chance of survive for one of them, a riflewoman

    not sure... i see a 120 mm mortar in the videos and we usually use the swedish ARTHUR system (can be easy moved with chinooks) as fire detection radar in the advanced FOBs, but this is a small FOB

    indeed, but it's a she...hope she can make a recovery, she was airlifted as critical on the day.
