I believe the argument could be made that no country would be working for such an event seeing that the ramifications go much further than those countries principally involved. Who would “retrieve glory”? Do you understand the affect such an event would have globally. The idea that someone in the region would profit from this is odd. So I do not understand if you make this statement as a joke or as a serious idea.

Ps. You have to tell me if you can access that page on Wikipedia otherwise I can look up another source.

Glory is not really a concept anymore. Not for the leaders of nations. The leaders may push you toward such concepts, so as to solidify their power, but on the world stage, it means little.

Da Fak did I just read? A bomb? Nuke a country for a tiny piece of rock barely visible in water? You bunch of hotheads really shamed your country and race.

No one is going to bomb anyone.

I raised the question in regards to negotiations.

You will be right if "glory" is an empty word.

Isn't it? At this point. In 2012?

Aren't we all so global, that glory is a think of the past, and acceptance and cooperation and....

And just really finding passion with learning about each other, and seeing what we can do... Together.

Doesn't that alone make "glory" antiquated?

did you mean that somebody is stupid enough to consider that a tiny piece of rock barely visible in water equal enormous oil resources?

Maybe we are living in the global Babel village. How can we explain the existence of far-right organization in many nations?

Do we need to explain the far right? Or the far left?

Maybe we can start just by you and me saying "hello". And see where it goes from there.

Hey! I've only been to China once, but was shocked by the beauty of the Li River. We spent a few days in Guangxi, and it was just stunning. And the people were amazing.

Asean country conduct à titre de souverain, that is, concrete manifestations of the display of territorial sovereignty by the other state.. they have exclusive control over visits to the island, and they have a military presence there to assert their authority.

China cant do anything there for its not china territories and if china doesnt like it they can come attack us.

You seem to be closer to the conflict than some other on this site.

I would like to hear your view on how you think China will play this. What can they do other that using military pressure to persuade the involved parties? How do you feel the internal debate is in country, does your sentiment represent the view “on the street” so to say?
