If Jordan became a Palestinian state then the West Bank could be divided without the issue of the Palestinians needing sustainable borders (as they'll have all the land they need east of the Jordan River) or the PA could become a special administrive area.
That`s a possible scenerio yet I'm still of the opinion that such a situation would be simpler to counter and pose less of a diplomatic headache. If Jordan is ruled by the Palestinians and becomes an hostile state, she might contribute actively to arm the WB and to deteriorate the security there. She might also ally in the future with other powers - Iraq or Iran - and revive the concerns of an Eastern front that disappeared long ago.
