Just compare it to the Neo-nazis. What they belief would also be against the law if they act on it.
So far though there are no thought crimes in Germany unlike North Korea![]()
Still they are being watched so that if some members act on their believes the police can step in in time.
Scientology has a big HQ in Berlin... so no.. not even in their case.
The issue with them is that they want to be recognized as a religion so that they do not have to pay taxes - while the government says they are a for-profit organization and not a religion. (plus some other things).
Americans are weird, they have no problem whacking Salafists with Drone-launched Hellfire missiles or putting them into torture camps but god forbid we try to stop them from distributing Qurans.....
Agreed, its how one interprets the readings. Unfortunately some would twist it to hatred, and its those few that make it bad for the rest....
Stop, brah. Everytime we get Germans in a thread someone invariably has to fire a salvo over at the Americans. Ordie does not speak for the rest of us. He is being what one calls "the Devil's Advocate" to foment discussion. We now call this specimen a troll. I like the circa 2006 Ordie better. Please don't assume the rest of us 'Muricans want to tell you what to do with your own country. And frankly, I think you should round up every Scientologist you can find and send them to Madagascar. Take ours, too.
If Salafists are allowed to distribute copies of the Quran in front of the Cologne Minster, then so are Pro-NRW-folk free to hand out their crap in front of Mosques. Oddly enough, the Pro-NRW-guys are perceived as ignorant racists...
Actually it didn't mean any offence when I brought up that analogy... but now that I'm seeing you take offence - why not. Ya know, freedom of expression and all that.
