Does the mood strike you often?
I am not sure why that matters to you. I think you have read enough of my posts to answer that one for yourself.
    ----------
Does it strike you in face to face conversations with African Americans?
Sometimes, yes. There was a Black guy I worked with who was a retired Air Force Master Sargent. I would talk to him in ebonics, and call him "massa". He would respond by affecting a phony highbrow English accent and calling me 'good sir' and 'old bean'.
    ----------
If they react poorly to it, do you tell them you're just tired of being smothered by all the political correctness?
When I lived in a Black slum, Inglewood, California, I would respond to Blacks screwing with me using racial taunts with ebonics, and if they did not like it, I told them to fvck the hell off. Most of them thought it was hilarious. The few others never saw fit to try and do anything about it.
    ----------
Maybe your ebonics post somehow had no racial overtones at all and I'm just a square who doesn't get it. Maybe you're just trolling and I'm feeding you, who knows. Maybe you weren't expecting anyone to call you on your post, and now you're acting like you were just trolling to cover and doing the usual thing of blaming political correctness, again, who knows.
Nice strawman. *Any* statement on race 'has racial overtones'. So what? 'Racial overtones' =/= racism. And maybe you are just being a PC d1cksleeve.
    ----------
I'm middle of the road. The further to the right or left you are, the less likely we are to agree. Liberal has got nothing to do with it; your post would raise eyebrows with damn near anyone.
I have noticed that most liberals see themselves as 'centrist' or 'middle of the road', as you do. Your posts belie your claims.

I'm going for a hike in about half an hour. How 'bout you?
Finally got my taxes done this morning, doing chores, and soon I will head outside, do a Qi Gong workout, then sit on the deck and enjoy a beer.

They mostly were. I was making point. But when you later claim to have "answered my questions", I felt compelled to bring them back up because you had done absolutely no such thing whatsoever. Thanks for the more in depth responses.

Maybe. But randomly posting in ebonics leaves itself wide open for a "Wait, what?" response. Which might just be what you were looking for.

And "because the mood struck me" is vague enough to illicit further discussion.

I tend to lean liberal on environmental issues, or at least I lean on the side of conservation and science. I don't give a **** if gays get married. I think our government is too big and spends too much money. I think business and special interests have too much influence on our political process. I helped elect our Democratic president and my Republican governor. I'm pro-2nd Amendment and a ccw holder. The only time I ever voted purely along party lines was when I voted Republican in 2000. I think both the DNC and RNC can suck it.

...it's not hard to look like a lefty at mp.net. Drop me off at some liberal hang out and they'll think I'm some pickup driving, gun toting, redneck, chicken hawk.

    busy day. Enjoy that beer.

Its gonna be interesting when those Bush tax cuts expire and at the same time the automatic spending cuts kick in.

It will get even more interesting if the SCotUS does not strike down Obamacare when the mandatory goldplated healthcare plan purchase provisions and IRS-enforced fines for noncompliance kick in.

A verbal b*tch slap if I've ever seen one. Though you better be careful arguing with idiots; he'll try to drag you down to his level and beat you from experience.

The U.S. Senate, by a vote of 51-45, has blocked consideration of the Buffett Rule, a key initiative by President Obama to require millionaires to pay a minimum tax rate of 30 percent. Republicans kept the measure from receiving the 60 votes necessary to allow the Senate to open debate.

I looks like the Dems got political ammo for the upcoming Senate races.

Yes, the Dems will continue to try their utmost to foment class hatred to win over voters. However, the story is out now even in the MSM that the 'Buffett rule' would have produced so little income it would have no noticeable effect on the deficit, and thus was nothing more than a sham from the beginning. It will be up the Repubs to get out the message that the constant Dem attacks on 'the rich', who are mostly small to medium business owners, is creating a business environment that quashes investment and new job creation, harming our economy and the American people.

The Dems really have nothing of substance to run on, which is why they have turned to class warfare and spinning up a 'war on women' meme as their only election strategies this time around. I think these ugly politics are going to wear quite thin by November, and there will be a serious backlash among independent voters who are sick and tired of it.

I guess you're hoping most are too stupid to recognize BS when they see it?

    Nope, just the voting record.
If its a tight race, that may be the decision point for the voter.

If anything I'd think it'd be in favor of those who voted against this stunt.

Naming legislation that will supposedly increase tax after someone who owes so much in taxes going back a decade...oh the irony

Thanks to SCOTUS "Corporations are people too" ruling.
There's going to be tons of money being thrown out there with negative ads.
