The reason why the Nazis had such stylish uniforms is it's design. Actually I've always though Nazi uniforms were for people
worried about the small size of their *****.
But judging from this photo these guys have no **** at all.
I think that the reason in a bad uniform. Soldiers don't like it and want to make better. As are able.
    Sadly and ridiculously.

In Poland , recruits wear that when they leave a gate of barracks. Recruitment was obligatory when you finished 18 yrs, an then recruit goes to army for 2 later 1 year.

Yes. also known as "Dembel" - carefully and lovingly prepared by a servicemen towards the end of recruitment period - uniform "upgrade", one of the grim reminders of our past, good news is that more and more people (civilian and military) consider owner of this kind of outfit a "fvcking retard" he actually is, also a good sign for military inspection, that officer cadre of this unit is seriously lacking.

Nope. It's a reality of Russian's Army. Stupid traditions that need to go. ...If you wanna be a real "tough guy".

If it's a part of tradition then let it be. They're getting out and they have the right to do so. It's not like it's your problem.

Didn't see this for a long time. I always liked reservists, never seen happier people

You're wrong. Uniform is part of our identity which should be worn with pride. You may make some improvement of your uniform for better fit, I guess. But you have to remain a soldier.
I saw a lot of such dumbs in my time in the Army (1983-1986). But never so much decorated.

The problem with this "tradition" is that in conscript army you have morons among normal people and this can't be avoided. These morons think that wearing such sh1t is mandatory when they are leaving service.
In Soviet Times they were often stopped by military patrols and forced to remove non-regulated decorations. In 1990th and up to 2008(?) with two years service conscripts had a lot of free time to make it.
Right now with 1 year service and much more dense schedule I'm not sure if they have time. But morons always try to find a way to ashame themselves

they are yesterday teenagers, 20 years old. in ussr they had 2 years of lazy service, and a lot of free time before leaving the army.
what are you expecting of a boy, who left school and was conscripted to the army, had 2 years of nothing to do, and is about returning to his small town or village, and meeting with his young friends and girls. He must make an Impression! this kind of decorating is IMPRESSIVE, as 20 years old boy thinks.
