Default 'Kampftaucher' in the Swiss Army

'Kampftaucher' were a short lived special unit in the Swiss Army. They only existed between 1969 and 1979 and were dispaned then since the Army had to cut cost... Their tasks were not only to harm enemy installations behind the lines but also to safe life in case of natural disasters and so on. A representative part of their equipment is displayed at the Swiss Military Museum at Full Reuenthal:

Never heard about this unit, thanks for posting and excellent pics!
That said, the Swiss military itself is pretty fascinating.

Sorry. The were not called 'Kapftaucher' (Combat Diver) but 'Tauchschwimmer' (literally: Dive Swimmer')

Retro special forces equipment - awesome! Is that a pressure gauge in image 3?

Very interesting. I find the Swiss Military to be very fascinating. Can anyone recommend any books (in English) on the Swiss Military and it's history?
