Zink is obviously doing the same thing as Obama. He is first a Republican then a former seal. He is just using this to attack him. Hypocrite. I doubt somebody will risk their career for this kind of play.

Its not so much that he is bragging, its that he is using it in his relelection ads, like, as if he had anything to do with the hunt, and susequent termination of OBL. It just happaned to happen while he was in office -nothing more. All credit goes to the operators, he just sat in a room with a bunch of other politicians and got to watch. Had had no more to do with it than you or I, thus should take no more credit than you or I.

Cynical as hell. The article states he's drawing criticism from many quarters, including Arianna Huffington as well as other SEALS. Even if that were true, you obviously can't use the "Republican first" card on everyone.

Did Bush understand what an insurgency was, because he clearly did not prepare for what should have been the obvious. And no, the Iraqi army was not defeated, because they were the roots of the insurgency. We took so many prisoners, that most we immediately just turned over. Others just decided to take their uniforms off, blend in with the populace, and live to fight another day. Just because they decided that they weren't going to fight the conventional way, doesn't mean they ceased to be an army.<br>
You should write a book on all of your first hand experiences in such a f*cked up world.

Seriously, tell us all how it deeply affected you watching it on TV or how an extended family members injury affected you so much. Or how reading about these things in books and magazine articles cut your soul so deeply.

    (Dripping with sarcasm)

You're merely a child, spewing the typical bile a teenager spews, trying to gain footing and relevance in an argument you have no place interjecting yourself into. When your firsthand life experiences match your opinions, then check back in. LD's experienced the things you speak of firsthand, not vicariously through a TV or other media. Don't ever try and equate the two again otherwise you'll come off sounding like the whiny kid you are now.

EDIT: Now that I've read your profile, it only reinforces my post. Enjoy your life's journey as a warrior poet while rocking out to the likes of Fugazi and the Who.

Bottome line is, the faux outrage is back.

I can't believe that you guys actually still get surprised when politicians act like politicians.

If Bush gets the credit for all Barry's current fvckups he should get the credit for Osama as well. Funny how Obama didn't blame this one on Bush.

The next generation has probably been blamed for the downfall of America more times than any other factor in our history and the sky has yet to fall.

There are probably plenty of veterans who thought my generation, the one previous and the one following would not, or could not fight, prior to 2001.

If anyone tried to give him credit, inevitably Tora Bora would come up.

"The Bush administration has concluded that Osama bin Laden was present during the battle for Tora Bora late last year and that failure to commit U.S. ground troops to hunt him was its gravest error in the war against al Qaeda, according to civilian and military officials with first-hand knowledge."

Did your auto-correct miss it or did you actually use the O-word intentionally?
