Call of Duty: Black Ops II is now officially official — more official than ever — as the debut trailer for Treyarch's sequel to the Cold War era shooter has been revealed. Set in the year 2025, Black Ops II will see the return of Sgt. If there's one thing Call of Duty fans have been missing out on since the very beginning of the storied franchise, it's a glimpse into the future. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was just revealed in a two minute long trailer, and the best word to describe it is indeed "futuristic." With weaponry ranging from walking robotic tanks, to quadrocopters equipped with mounted machine guns, the CoD franchise is taking a step past modern warfare and heading straight into the great unknown.

The first Black Ops title ventured into the lore behind Vietnam and the Cold War through the tortured memories of Sgt. Frank Woods. Well, the good soldier is back, and the year 2025 brings him into a world where combat is done by machines, with support from soldiers equipped with some very far-out weaponry. - Source

FPS games havent evolved much. few are innovated, but you know what? if they are fun, then they will sell.

That´s the problem. They´re not forced to innovate because they keep selling the same "re-skin" of MW1 all the time, for a full price.
Now, games that are innovative and therefore don´t have a hard-core fanbase, such as RO2 won´t stand a chance against that and this will lead to us playing the same type of FPS for years and years.

Don´t get me wrong, it´s your money and if you feel like spending 60 bucks for a "new" Call of Duty it´s fine, but I´ll invest my money into something else. Maybe beer, atleast it won´t annoy me as much as CoDs multiplayer and ridiculously short SP campaigns.

What CoD has done for the games industry parallels everyhthing Micheal Bay has done in Hollywood. I'd rather get lost shopping in IKEA and sit down on a futon to think about where I've gone wrong than play that ****.

I enjoyed the campaign of Black Ops for both its story and Michael Bay War Simulator, so I'll probably steal it from a friend if my roommate decides not to buy it.
