Poland will rock this tournament.
Germany and Spain are favorites.
I think France and Italy have a chance as well. France through moments of sheer brilliance and Italy just because they are ****ing Italy.
Italians have never been any good in the Euro (bar 2000). I do not expect them to be any good. *And then they lift the damn thing*.
Before some douche tells me they have won it, yes they have in 1968 by toss.
I have a feeling that Ukraine and Russia both will have a great tournament and a fair shot at the title.
I believe it's fashionable to decree that the collection of muppets England fields to be the "supershinyunobtainuim" generation and predict they will effortlessly cruise to victory before they ignominiously get defeated by a minnow of a team. So in the finest traditions of Englishness I predict we will win with superlative ease.
My parents say Poznan has changed a lot in the 3 years since I moved back to the US. Im bummed Im missing it.
I think the more interesting question is: Will England survive the group stage?![]()
Polish team on EURO, announced yesterday:
Goalkeepers:Wojciech Szczęsny (Arsenal), Łukasz Fabiański (Arsenal), Przemysław Tytoń (PSV Eindhoven)
Defenders: Sebastian Boenisch (Werder Brema), Kamil Glik (Torino), Tomasz Jodłowiec (Polonia Warszawa), Marcin Kamiński (Lech Poznań), Damien Perquis (FC Sochaux), Łukasz Piszczek (Borussia Dortmund), Marcin Wasilewski (Anderlecht Bruksela), Jakub Wawrzyniak (Legia Warszawa), Grzegorz Wojtkowiak (Lech Poznań)
Midfielders: Jakub Błaszczykowski (Borussia Dortmund), Dariusz Dudka (AJ Auxerre), Kamil Grosicki (Sivasspor), Adam Matuszczyk (Fortuna Düsseldorf), Adrian Mierzejewski (Trabzonspor), Rafał Murawski (Lech Poznań), Ludovic Obraniak (Girondins Bordeaux), Eugen Polanski (1. FSV Mainz), Maciej Rybus (Terek Grozny), Rafał Wolski (Legia Warszawa)
Forwards:Robert Lewandowski (Borussia Dortmund), Paweł Brożek (Celtic Glasgow), Michał Kucharczyk (Legia Warszawa), Artur Sobiech (Hannover 96)
I bolded players who will most likely occur in first 11.
I didn't know Eugen Polanski was actually a Pole (on paper). I used to see him around when he played for Mönchengladbach. An apprentice in our company used to 'date'/fück him
Good team, but all that counts in national teams is cohesion, let's see.
And talking about Boenisch AND Polanski, no Pole should ever cry about Podolski and Klose again, while you snitch players out of our youth system.![]()
