ter Stegen has been great this season. If not playing as first-choice GK(needs more experience), at least it will keep Neuer on his toes.

x 2. As much as I hate to admit it, I think Germany is going to win it hands down. Italy will do well, but I just can't see them making it past semis, and Spain's success has always come from the boots of Xavi and his fitness has torn to shreds this season. Also, the loss of Puyol and David Villa's form, if he even makes the tournament, will be a huge blow. Netherlands to semis, Portugal to quarters and England with assured hilarious results.

I hope Germany wins, but they have an amazing talent for coming in 2nd.

Honestly I'd prefer Germany get knocked out in the Qfs rather than take another "silver medal".

There is nobody better than them, however the football we know and love is a fickle creature.

Just going through the names of the German squad is awesome. Quality in every position, with a quality coach to boot. They may not have the experience of the Spanish, but they're definitely the team to beat.

I don't recognize a couple of names on the German midfield, but damn, that's a scary midfield group.

Mesut Özil, Sami Khedira, (Real Madrid)

Toni Kroos, Thomas Müller, Bastian Schweinsteiger, (well known Bayern)

Marco Reus, (former Mönchengladbach, now Dortmund, awesome, effective and fast guy, goal scorer)

Mario Götze, (Dortmund 'biggest talents in football, whatever that means)
Ilkay Gündogan, (Dortmund, finding his form this season)

    Sven Bender,
Lars Bender, (twins, Leverkusen and Dortmund. One of them runs more per game than any other football player. Both strong and very intensive)

André Schürrle (Leverkusen, real goal threat)

Julian Draxler (Schalke, 18 or 19 also one of the big talents. Very fast and technically strong. Just like most new guys)

Lukas Podolski (Now Arsenal, Veteran at 26(?) years old)

Most guys are really young, barely out of the U21 age or even younger.

Yeah, I know Ozil, Khedira, Kroos, Goetze, (heard of one or both Benders), and of course Podolski (can't believe he's only 26).

Klose is a ****e forward though

15 goals this season with Lazio...hardly a bad forward.

    I know -- he's a beast. Prototypical German striker.

Klose could have both his legs amputated and he'd still be scoring goals. That bastard was born for it.
